Appointments
When you pick up the phone to call me or when you email me, what happens next is that we would have a brief conversation about what brings you to therapy. I will email you a link to your unique client portal where you can read all my practice polices, consent documents, and privacy practices. I also have included a brief intake questionnaire in the client portal. I ask that you complete these prior to the first appointment so we can delve right in to your therapy journey. We will then schedule an appointment for our first session.
All sessions are on an appointment basis. The first and often first few appointments allow us to explore your motivations for seeking professional services and to determine if we can effectively work together to meet your needs.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long. I also offer extended sessions for 80 minutes which is encouraged for the first session.
Therapy appointments are scheduled and held via Sessions Health Televideo
Contact in between sessions
I make every effort to return your calls within 24 hours. Phone call policies will be discussed during your initial session.
I return emails within 24-48 hours, however, email is not the best way to make contact for any time-sensitive matter.
Cancellations should not be emailed. To cancel/reschedule please contact Anna directly via phone, email or secure messaging in client portal
No urgent or emergency messages should ever be sent by email.
Rates
My standard rate for individual therapy is $175 per 50 minute session and $190 per 80 minute session.
If my fee is an obstacle in making an appointment please contact me for a phone consultation to discuss sliding scale options.
Therapy is an invaluable investment that can benefit you for a lifetime. Mental health and wellness should not be treated any differently than physical healthcare and some may argue it’s even more important. At the very least, mind, body and soul should be treated with the same respect to reach a quality of life.
Types of Payment Accepted
I accept insurance, cash, check, credit cards and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.
Insurance:
I am currently In Network with the following insurance:
BCBS of Texas
Please contact your insurance provider by calling the number on the back of your insurance card to obtain full details on your coverage.
WHAT YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY:
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
Does a behavioral health session require pre-authorization?
If so, how is that pre-authorization obtained?
Do I have out of network benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Various insurance policies may reimburse you for a portion of mental health fees for out-of-network providers. I recommend you call your insurance provider directly and review your insurance policy to clarify what reimbursements may be possible. Insurance companies typically ask for a superbill to reflect payment received and treatment provided. If you would like to file your claim directly with your insurance company, I can provide you with the superbill for your sessions.
Please note that benefits are an agreement between you and your insurance company. I cannot guarantee any insurance coverage or reimbursement.
If you would prefer to self-pay rather than use insurance, that is always an option. There are multiple considerations to take when deciding whether to utilize insurance or self-pay. Please feel free to discuss these options prior to your first appointment.
All policies and initial first session paperwork will be sent via client portal and to be discussed in first session once your appointment is scheduled.
Fees, payments, contact between sessions, and many other issues are always a part of participating in therapy. I value and encourage open discussion about any of these matters in any of our sessions.
